that's why i pray thursdays

If you've been paying attention to the media lately, you'll know the whole controversy about Chick-fil-A and their anti-gay marriage beliefs.
I'm not posting because I'm going to pray for Chick-fil-A so they won't go out of business, but because it truly shows how much this topic needs prayer.

This country, I believe, is going in the wrong direction when it comes to gay marriage. I also think that it is becoming harder and more difficult for us Christians to come out against gay marriage. I will continue to stand up for my beliefs though.

I believe that gay marriage is wrong, but I believe that nobody should be discriminated against because of their beliefs. That's why it is so hard to fight against gay marriage, because we have freedom of religion in this country. But because this country was founded by Christians and was built on Christianity, we should continue to follow in those footsteps. We are considered one of the most Christian nations, so I think we should continue to follow in those footsteps.

I am not good at arguing when it comes to this sort of stuff, all I can say is that Jesus is the way, and I am trying to live like Him. I know that gay marriage is wrong, but other than saying that it goes against my Christian beliefs, there is really no other arguments against it. So, that's why I pray, because I believe this country really needs it at a time like this.
