Update On My Life

I know you all have anxiously been awaiting an update from me (haha), so I'm finally back with one.

 

Firstly, I have completed my internship and got the great news last week that they wanted to hire me!! Yes, I accepted the offer and will be done at my nursing home job officially on May 31 at 7:45 p.m. (if you hear cheering at that time, it's probably me). After 4 1/2 years of working there, recently getting a new supervisor (who changed things waaaay too fast), and corporate getting too involved, I am definitely glad to be done at that place.

 

So, I will start my real training for my new job today (May 20th), and will have the wonderful hours of 9-6, Mon-Fri. (No more weekends...another big "YAY!").

 

 

I am so thankful that this is the way God has led me (so far) in life. The people that I will be working with are very kind, and it is a great environment to work in.

 

I will officially be done with school on June 7, although I will not be walking at graduation. But, I am definitely ready to be done with homework, studying, writing papers, etc. You know, all that fun stuff.

 

I don't know what He has in store for me in the future, but I know that I will encounter more mountains, also knowing that the view at the top of each of those mountains will be just as gorgeous (if not more gorgeous) than the previous.

Siblings Day

This past Wednesday was apparently National Siblings Day.

I really haven't heard much about it other than this year, with it being a pretty major deal on Facebook.

 

So, I'd like to wish my sisters a Very Happy Siblings Day.

Although sometimes I wish I had a brother or two, I am very thankful for the two sisters God gave me.

 

Katelyn and Didley Squat (Shaelyn):

We've had our ups and downs together, but we've made it through them all. The best times I've had in life have been with you two, and I wouldn't trade any of those times for the world. You drive me crazy, but that's what makes me laugh and love you more (but don't get too carried away now). And I know you two are just as happy (if not more) to have me as the most awesome ninja sister ever. You couldn't have gotten a better sister than me, haha!

That's Why I Pray Thursday

I am back with an update on me and how my life has been going these days. Last time I wrote, I was telling y'all about the trials I had been facing at the time. Well, I am now proud to announce that my life has pretty much taken a 360 since then.

 

First off, I am still not the richest person in the world, but my money troubles will soon start getting better, and have gotten better since.

 

My hours at work are still down, but I just picked up last weekend for somebody and next month it looks like I will be back to regular hours again for the most part (yay!)

 

Secondly, my computer. It turned out, it wasn't the screen on my computer that was broken, but something to do with the motherboard or whatever. So, I needed a whole new computer. However, the guy that was going to replace the screen gave me a great deal on a new one, and transferred all the data from my old one to my new one for free. So, I did end up spending more money than I planned, but got a whole new computer out of the deal (which I would have needed in the near future anyway).

 

My (Mater) car is still hanging in there, but I have been keeping my eye out for a different one because I know I will be needing one within the next few months. (So, if you guys know of any great deals at any car places out there...let me know!)

 

Lastly, I am officially in my last quarter of college. I just got an internship last week, and I will be starting that up this coming Monday. (Pray for me, I know I will be a nervous wreck when it rolls around.) I am also about halfway through the other 5-week class that I have.

 

So, I hope I'm not speaking too soon when I say that my life is pretty great right now.

 

But that leads me to my "That's Why I Pray Thursday".

Looking back at how much my life has changed in the last month, just makes me so much more thankful that there is a God always looking out for me and carrying me in times of trial.

 

I pray because, no matter what, God is always there watching out for me.

He will never leave me or forsake me.

 

And thank you for all of you who prayed for me in my time of trial, I could feel prayers, and they have definitely worked.
