One of my favorite songs, the lyrics are great.

I know it seems like this could be
The darkest day you've known
But believe you me
The God of strength will never let you go
He will overcome I know

And the arms that hold the universe
Are holding you tonight
You can rest inside
It's gonna be alright

And the voice that calmed the raging sea
Is calling you His child
So be still and know He's in control
He will never let you go

Through many dangers toils and snares
You have already come
His grace has brought you safe this far
His grace will lead you home

And the arms that hold the universe
Are holding you tonight
You can rest inside
It's gonna be alright

And the voice that calmed the raging sea
Is calling you His child
So be still and know He's in control
He will never let you go

You can hope you can rise you can stand
He's still got the whole world in His hands
You can hope you can rise you can stand
He's still got the whole world
The whole world in His hands

And the arms that hold the universe
Are holding you tonight
You can rest inside
It's gonna be alright

And the voice that calmed the raging sea
Is calling you His child
So be still and know He's in control
He will never let you go
He will never let you go

He's still got the whole world in His hands
Still got the whole world in His hands

miss meka

the many facial expressions and poses of meka.

playing security guard for our room

gaining her "personal" space on the cushion

 again, she likes her space
evenutually, missy gets sick of getting squished and moves
meka wins (as always)

 peek!

 glaring

she didn't realize she had a (toy) mouse on her head

friday funnies

this will give you a good laugh:

A guy walked into a bar with his dog. When he ordered his drink the bartender said to him
"Sir, you can't have that dog in here."
The guy replied, without a pause:
"It's my seeing-eye dog."
To that the bartender replied:
"Oh, I'm very sorry sir, the first one's on me."
So the guy took his drink and went and sat at a table.

A few minutes later another guy walks into the bar with his chihauha. The first guy said to him that he could not get a drink unless he told the bartender it was his seeing-eye dog. The guy with the chihuaha thanked the other guy and went to order his drink.
Once again, the bartender said:
"Sir, you may not have that dog in here."
The guy, of course, replied:
"But, it's my seeing-eye dog."
The bartender than said:
"That's impossible. Chihauahas are not seeing-eye dogs."
The guy paused for a half-second, and then said:
"What! They gave me a chihauha?!?"

playing with another one of my cousins (like his hat?)

having fun with uncle duane

having fun with grandpa (and andy)

apparently I really liked food

i just love this one

Act of Valor

I've been meaning to do a blog post about this for a little bit now, so I'm finally getting around to doing it.
Many of you have heard of the movie "Act of Valor", and heard what a great movie it is. I am one who has seen it and also thought the movie was quite amazing. There was a song at the end of this movie called "For You" written and sung by Keith Urban. This song is what really inspired this blog post. It talks about fighting this war, and the character of this song wonders if he could sacrifice his life (like the troops).

When you really listen to this song, and watch the movie, it really makes you appreciate our troops even more. I was listening to the song, and I said to myself "Would I give up my life for this country?" Honestly, I don't really have an answer to that question; I really don't know. And unless it came down to it, I don't think I will ever have an answer to it. It's easy to say "Well, of course I would!" But the point for me is not whether I, or if anybody else would. For me, the point is that there are people out there giving their lives up for our country.

So, once again, I 'd like to say how appreciative I am of all of our former and current troops fighting. They have, or are giving, the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

And, of course, I have a video of Keith performing this song.
I was going to post the music video, but instead, I've decided to post his performance from last night's ACM Awards; it makes you feel more emotional (in a good way).  It might make you cry, but it will definitely give you a great feeling inside.
